Twice Tangled

September 23, 2010

Record label, Tangled Talk have ordered a double-whammy from us recently for two of their great bands. We printed some awesome ice-grey T-shirts for Bastions and Arigato pak CD sleeves (from Stumptown) for Let’s Talk Daggers.

Ships, cowboys, monsters and bears

August 24, 2010

Tall Ships have been busy boys this summer; touring, recording and partying pretty hard. We printed these cowboy T-shirts in preparation for their tour with Seattle’s Minus The Bear next week, and while we were at it, Big Scary Monsters asked us to print sleeves for what I believe to be the third pressing on their debut EP. Definitely worth getting hold of a copy before they all go again.

Grow Up

August 23, 2010

…less posting stupid competitions on Twitter and more catching up with blogging about work we’ve done.

Printed on Ellie Poo paper, sleeves for Big Scary Monsters‘ CD release of Chicago band Grown Ups. Saw these guys play in Birmingham a while ago, and they really are a great band. Great label too!

Flix Records DIY releases

June 10, 2010

Flix Records are putting out these three CD’s by Philidelphia’s Dirty Tactics (currently on tour in Europe somewhere with Bangers), Cali’s Madison Bloodbath, and the UK’s very own Men from Norwich. We printed the artwork onto A4 card, so Felix not only saves money, but gets to be totally DIY and punk and rad by cutting and folding them to make the CD sleeves himself.

Brain Failure

May 27, 2010

Hi, how are you? We have been busy- hence the lack of blog posts all week- my, the photos of all the work we have been doing is mounting up. I promise I will get them all up eventually!

First we have these lovely 12″ record sleeves printed for the great guys at Brain Ache Records who are putting out a full length by My First Failure. Printed using black waterbased inks onto loooovely paper which is made out of 100% recycled elephant poo! Nuts as it seems, it’s actually a lovely textured paper and looks great (and doesn’t smell or resemble poo in the slightest).

Good eggs at Bad Egg Records

April 11, 2010

The great folks from Bad Egg Records have released a split 7″ of Fuck Your Haircut and Stinky Wizzleteat. Sticking to their DIY ethics they wanted to make their own sleeves, which we printed. It not only works out pretty cheap, they look awesome (nice bit of halftone printing), and from the photos you can see that the guys had a great time cutting them out and putting them together. Eat A Book Records have a great post on their blog showing how they made them. I’m sure the launch party last night at The Sunflower Lounge was great, little bit gutted I missed it but I’m going to make sure I get to some of their shows soon.

printing Caves records

February 15, 2010

Caves record came our on Specialist Subject Records a few weeks ago, but since I wasn’t able to blog much because of the whole having no computer thing, here are some photos we took during the process of making the sleeves…
