T-shirt update

September 16, 2010

We’ve been printing a bunch of shirts for all sorts of people over the last few weeks… here’s a taster

For our pal Neil at Mouldy Loaf, we used to share a shop and he always gets the BEST illustrators doodling for him

Tech Staff uniforms ready for Birmingham’s newest venue the HMV Institute which opens this weekend.

New shirts for Bangers, which we had to post to Austria while they’re on tour in Europe at the moment.

Some nice baseball shirts for Caves.

Sepia-toned, halftone ‘Carousel’ design for clothing label Dead Giraffe.

I can’t remember what these were for, but I like the design.

Project Trident: “A group of Cambridge based DIY film-makers”

Birmingham-based clothing label, Villain.

And finally, this T-shirt for Bogus Clothing, which Sam is still in the middle of printing as I post.

Screen Printing Workshop

September 13, 2010

One Saturday 11th September we had a go at holding our first screen printing workshop as part of Birmingham Zine Festival. Illustrator, and the festival’s posterboy James Nash kindly did some drawings for us, which we exposed onto 6 screens, and each workshop participant got given a white EarthPositive T-shirt to print however they wanted.

The positives we made the screens from.

Printing!

In and out of ‘Bertha’ the tunnel dryer

The finished T-shirts!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along and printed, we had such a great time.

so yeah, this cool T-shirt

September 7, 2010

Fights and Fires are on tour all over the place September-October, so they asked us to print this nifty design onto some shirts to take with them. We’ve printed a lot of halftone T-shirts recently, maybe it’s the new ‘thing’, (we’re not cool enough to keep up with trends, but we do enjoy printing them). Catch the band all over Europe and the UK SOON

Wrecked all summer and winter

August 26, 2010

Wrecked Skateboarding are a clothing label with a difference- and we like different. The business sponsors local skateboarders and gets their fans and friends to model and spread the word- a real customer-led-in-the-real-world project rather than a lone person sat behind a computer screen trying to make something ‘cool’. The Wrecked blog is full of images and interesting anecdotes from the skateboarders, BMXers and friends, local and worldwide- to do with the project directly, or inspirational and just awesome to look at.

Billy’s back

August 25, 2010

Our favourite 80’s popstar Billy Peltzer has left Spain and is traveling around for a few months armed with this fabulously retro-looking T-shirts.

brightly coloured dead giraffes

August 25, 2010

Jay has been very eager to get his T-shirts for his new clothing label Dead Giraffe, so this post is to let him know that they will be posted out to him today (at the time of typing Sam is finishing the Dead Giraffe logo ones) and hopefully get him, and his lucky customers drooling. The ‘From Southampton with blood’ are printed in a ‘vintage print’ style, and the logo ones in purple and green neon inks! (I wish my camera showed how awesomely bright the print is).

Ships, cowboys, monsters and bears

August 24, 2010

Tall Ships have been busy boys this summer; touring, recording and partying pretty hard. We printed these cowboy T-shirts in preparation for their tour with Seattle’s Minus The Bear next week, and while we were at it, Big Scary Monsters asked us to print sleeves for what I believe to be the third pressing on their debut EP. Definitely worth getting hold of a copy before they all go again.

Let’s hope it’s not raining for this festival

August 24, 2010

While many people will be going to Leeds and Reading this Bank Holiday weekend for the big names, those in the South West will be doing things a bit differently, with Devon’s Aeon Festival bringing independent acts to the stage, from punk to electronica, beatboxing, DJ’s and even a choir!

Merch from your favourite punk blog

August 23, 2010

We printed these for music website Punktastic, there aren’t many left but you can still pick one up for just £6.99 here.

They Sink silver Ships

August 23, 2010

The guys from They Sink Ships popped by the studio to pick up their T-shirts when they were last in Birmingham just before playing at the Academy. The simple design works great in light blue an silver ink on the dark blue T-shirt.
