New blogging for 2011

January 13, 2011

HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!

Hope you’ve all had a great start to 2011. We have decided to use the new year and new start in the studio to set up a new blog here on TUMBLR getagripstudio.tumblr.com

The pros to this are that you can now follow us and repost the things you like. We’ll let you know who they’ve been printed for (and link the photo directly to their website), what garments or paper they’ve been printed onto, and what inks they are.

It’ll also be the first place you here about events we’re putting on, workshops, and the latest from the studio.

There’s also still over a year’s worth of work you can plough through right here, and don’t hesitate to drop us an email if you’d like to know more about any of the jobs- whether it’s what ink colour something is printed in, or where you can purchase a print from an artist we’ve worked for.

Here’s to a great new year!

Christmas Cards by GET A GRIP and friends

November 22, 2010

This year we have asked four of our favourite illustrators and friends of GET A GRIP to come up with a Christmas Card design each.

You can pre-order the cards here for £5, and will receive 4 A6 cards, (one of each design) hand screenprinted by ourselves. Printed on 100% recycled paper stock using waterbased inks. They will come with 4 upcycled envelopes by d!rektrecycling made from maps. The price also includes UK postage. Alternatively, you can wait until they are printed, and buy them directly from the studio/around The Custard Factory in a few weeks time (provided they haven’t already sold out).

Our amazingly talented designers are:
Darren John
Mister Millerchip
Lee Nutland
Thomas Lacey

There will only be a limited number of cards printed, and will be available and posted out as soon as they are printed in the first week of December (if not sooner). Please note they will vary slightly from the digital mock-ups pictured.

Supersonic 2010

October 25, 2010

Wow, what a weekend! Supersonic Festival 2010 brought to us by the lovely people at Capsule was a real winner. We had a lot of fun printing the merch for them and running a table at their awesome market place. Here’s a few of our photos from printing and the weekend. Thanks to everyone who brought stuff, took our details or told us how much they loved what we were doing! Favourite highlights include being sat next to Bunny’s Wonderleague stall and drooling over her 90’s trading cards, Birmingham’s own Stinky Wizzleteat and Heath and Efficiency playing amongst many other brilliant bands and acts, and also Purity Brewing Company for their lovely, lovely ale.
